ARTIST STATEMENT:
| I am intrigued by the essence of the Southwest , whether through painting, photography or a quiet walk along a desert wash. In a region known for its sweeping powerful look, I like to capture in my watercolors the delicacy interwoven in the landscape. As I observe and become part of a scene, layers come up from a pool of colors, textures and forms that were not initially apparent. Taking the time to explore nature offers up an infinite palette, an unending combination of captivating visual elements. |
